Star Media Center 0.91 released! (23rd July 2007)
This release brings us one step closer to the final SMC 1.00. Enjoy the full power of SMC and stream your content at bitrates as low as 8 kbps. The mobile world is here. SMC is ready to shape it.
The SMC servers are back online, however the TV channels are delayed (26th June 2007)
We are sorry that it took so long to get back online with the streaming servers. Unfortunatly, in the new location we don't have a CATV provider, we are still trying to get one. We also upgraded the SMC servers to the latest build from our labs. The quality is, as you can observe, superior. Stay tuned for more!
The SMC servers will be down for a few days (8th June 2007)
The SMC servers will be moved to a dedicated datacenter with a faster and more reliable internet connection. The live streaming tech demo will be down due to the domain IP change. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for your patiance.
We are currently experiencing some uptime problems due to our internet connection provider. Sometime next week all of our servers will be moved to a dedicated datacenter and this kind of problems should be eliminated for good. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
SMC now on Sopcast! (30th May 2007)
Since our SMC servers were becoming overcrowded we decided to use Sopcast to deliver the SMC stream to an unlimited number of viewers. You will still need to use SMC Remote Chat to change the channel but at least you won't get a connection error when the server is full and you want to see your favorite soccer team. SopCast is a simple, free way to broadcast video and audio or watch the video and listen to radio on the Internet. Adopting P2P(Peer-to-Peer) technology, It is very efficient and easy to use. Let anyone become a broadcaster without the costs of a powerful server and vast bandwidth. More details on http://www.sopcast.org.
SMC 0.90 BETA released to the beta testers! (26th May 2007)
For the first time, Fightersoft Multimedia makes available a version of SMC that can stream audio/video content ranging from 8kbps and up to 1 gigabit. Using this version you can also change channels on the streaming server using your mobilephone and can use more than one SMC instance on your computer and thus having live content available from more than one device. You can still sign up to become a beta tester! Check the information below.
We are attending Orange Partner Camp (13th April 2007)
Between 14th and 21st April 2007 most of our staff will be attending the Orange Partner Camp event that will take place in Cape Canaveral, Florida, US. Upon returning the first beta release of SMC will be available to the beta testers. You still have time to sign up!
